The Compassionate Parent App – Promoting positive mental health for Mums and Dads
The Compassionate Parent app aims to provide new parents and families with tools to for positive parent-child interactions and to support parental wellbeing. Using strategies based upon principles of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Positive Psychology, it assists new parents in building a personal toolbox of strategies to help maintain perspective and manage expectations throughout their parenting journey.
The app offers strategies for managing mood, using mindfulness and gratitude in everyday life along with helpful structures for self-reflection and self-help and is available on the App Store and Google Play.
Online Counselling and Telehealth Services
Online counselling sessions (known as Telehealth sessions) are available and provide evidence-based treatments. A range of therapies are offered including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Some of the main areas we work with include mood disorders such as depression or anxiety, stress, perinatal or postnatal mental health including postnatal depression and anxiety, body image and self esteem work.
Sessions are offered using secure video conferencing. Medicare or Private Health Insurance rebates may be applicable for these services.
